Getting started
11 questionsHow long does it take to set a page up?
About five minutes. You fill in the name of your event and then choose whether to take a package or start for free. After that you download the cards with your QR code, four to an A4. Colours, albums and texts you change later, as often as you like.

Do I have to pay right away?
No. You can try it free first: a real event with your own name, your own link and your own cards, without payment details. You put it live and your guests can upload. Want more room or more time, then you pick a package and everything stays.

Can I try it for free first?
Yes. You create a real event with your own name, your own link and your own QR cards, and every feature is on. You put it live and your guests can upload. The trial runs 14 days and holds 25 contributions. Want more or longer, then you pick a package.

What are the limits of the free trial?
Three of them: 25 contributions, 500 MB of storage and 14 days. When your album is nearly full we mail you. Run into one of them and you pick a package; the limit comes off, with everything already in there.

Do I have to leave my credit card for the trial?
No, we ask for no payment details. You fill in your email address and get a six-digit code by mail. Type it in and the account is yours, and so is your page. Nothing is charged and nothing renews by itself.

What is the difference between the example album and the free trial?
The example album is our album of a made-up wedding. You look around and may upload a photo to see how that goes, but it is not yours. The free trial is your own event, with your own name and your own link, that your guests can really use.

When does my active period start?
With a paid package, the moment you publish, not the moment you pay. So you can set everything up months ahead and have the cards printed. The free trial works differently: those 14 days run from the moment you create the event, even if you have not published yet.
Did this answer it?
How long do the photos stay available?
As long as your event is active. With a package that is the term you chose, counted from your first publication. After that the album closes for guests. While it runs you can download everything as one zip. If you start with the free trial, it is 14 days from creating the event.
Did this answer it?
Can I still change the page after paying?
Everything except the length of your period. Name, date, cover, colours, albums and wording change whenever you want, even while your event is live. Your guests see the new version straight away.
Did this answer it?
Do I need an account?
You do, because you need somewhere to reach your own photos. That is your email address and nothing else. Your guests need no account and never create one.

Where do I find my dashboard?
At eventsnap.nl/dashboard, or through your account at the top of the site once you are signed in. You sign in with your email address and password, or with a sign-in link we email you. You land on Your events: every event is listed with its status, such as draft, live until a date, offline or expired, and with the number of photos waiting for your approval. Click an event to go in.

Your guests
8 questionsDo my guests need to install an app?
No. Guests scan the QR code or open the link in their browser. Uploading works on any phone, no account needed.
Did this answer it?
Will older guests understand this?
Their phone camera is enough: point it at the card, tap the notification and the page is open. Anyone who does not trust scanning can type the short link instead. Put someone by the entrance who shows it once and the rest follows by itself.
Did this answer it?
Do guests stay anonymous?
Yes, unless they fill in their name themselves. We only ask once their photos are already in, and leaving it blank is a perfectly good answer. The photo then shows just the time.

What if nobody uploads anything?
That mostly comes down to the cards: one on every table, at the bar and at the coat check works better than a single sign at the door. And if your event ends up with fewer than ten guest photos, you get your money back.
Did this answer it?
Does it work without decent wifi at the venue?
Yes. Guests upload over their own mobile network. If a large video will not go through at the party, it can still go later at home, as long as the album is open.
Did this answer it?
Can my guests see each other's photos?
By default they can: everyone with the link sees the whole album. If you would rather they did not, switch off the guest gallery. Your page becomes a drop-off point: each guest sees only their own uploads and none of anyone else's. You always see the whole roll, and the slideshow keeps showing everything.
Did this answer it?
Can I switch off uploading for guests?
Yes. Turn off guest uploading and you can still upload, your guests cannot. The album stays there to look at. You can also set it per album: one album anyone may add to and one that only you fill.
Did this answer it?
Can guests react to photos?
Every photo carries a heart, and that works on every plan. On top of that there are live reactions: a guest taps an emoji and it floats across the slideshow in the room. Those come with the larger plans, and you can switch them off per event. The react button then disappears and the hearts stay.

Photos and albums
7 questionsCan I approve photos before they are visible?
Yes. Turn on 'approve photos first' and every guest upload lands in your queue. Other guests only see that photo once you approve it; the guest who uploaded it does see their own, with a label on it. Your own uploads always go live directly.
Did this answer it?
Do I get the photos at full resolution?
Yes. We keep what the phone sends and squeeze nothing out of it, the way a group chat does. You download the whole event as one zip, with everything in it at full size.
Did this answer it?
Can I keep an album shut until after the party?
Yes. An album can have an opening time: until then guests see the photos blurred, with a note that they are still developing. As the organizer you always see everything.
Did this answer it?
Do videos work too?
Yes. Videos sit among the photos in the same album and are part of the download as well. How large a file may be depends on your plan.
Did this answer it?
Which files can be uploaded?
Photos (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, HEIC, DNG) and videos (MP4, MOV, M4V, MPEG). The maximum file size depends on your plan.
Did this answer it?
Can I delete or move photos?
As the organizer you manage everything: delete, edit captions, set the order and drag photos into another album. Guests can only edit their own uploads.
Did this answer it?
Can I get deleted photos back?
Yes. Deleted photos stay in the bin for 14 days and go back with one click. After that they are wiped for good. Clear out a whole album or every photo at once and the same two weeks apply.

Price and payment
6 questionsIs this a subscription?
No. You pay once per event and nothing ever renews automatically. What you pay depends on how long your album stays open and how large your files may be.
Did this answer it?
I am in the free trial, what happens when I pick a package?
Everything stays. The same link, the same QR cards, all the photos already in there and the colours and albums you set. If your page is already live, your package term starts at that moment; if it is not live yet, it starts when you publish.
Did this answer it?
What does it cost my guests?
Nothing. You pay once for the event; there are no costs for guests, and there is no limit on how many there are.
Did this answer it?
What exactly is the photo guarantee?
If your event ends up with fewer than ten guest photos, you get your money back. We count a week after the date of your party; if there are fewer, we email you. You do not have to chase it. The guarantee belongs to a paid package; in the free trial you have paid nothing, so there is nothing to give back.
Did this answer it?
Can I get an invoice for the company?
Yes. You fill in your billing details at checkout and find the pdf under Invoices afterwards. VAT is always listed separately.
Did this answer it?
Can I extend when the period runs out?
Yes, from your dashboard. You pick 3, 6 or 12 months and pay right away. The new end date is added on top of whatever you had left, so you lose no days. If the period has already ended it still works: your photos are all still there and your album reopens for your guests straight away.

Privacy and storage
7 questionsWho can see our photos?
Only people with your invite link, and only while your event is published. Closed albums appear blurred to guests until you open them; as the organizer you always see everything. If you would rather guests did not see each other's photos either, switch off the guest gallery.
Did this answer it?
Where are the photos stored?
On European servers. Files are never public: every link is signed and expires automatically.
Did this answer it?
Do you use our photos for anything else?
No. We sell nothing on, we advertise with nothing and we train no models on them. If we ever want to show a photo from a real party, we ask you beforehand and each time.
Did this answer it?
What happens when my event's period ends?
When your paid period ends, your event switches to archive mode. Guests can no longer view or upload anything, and nothing can be added. What is there stays yours: you can download the full archive, tidy up photos, edit captions and set the order.
Did this answer it?
What happens when my free trial ends and I pick nothing?
Your album locks: your guests can no longer reach it and nothing more can be added. Everything stays for another week so you can still pick a package; the page opens again straight away and you can download again too. Pick nothing and the event then enters the ordinary deletion window, and after another two weeks it is gone. You get a mail beforehand, a week ahead and one on the last day.
Did this answer it?
Can I close my event temporarily?
Yes. Publishing is reversible: take your event offline and guests lose access immediately. Your active period keeps running from the first publish.
Did this answer it?
What happens if I delete my event?
The event disappears for your guests straight away and is kept for another 14 days. Within those two weeks you can restore it, and we prepare a download with everything that was in it. After that we delete the event, the photos and the archive for good; that cannot be undone.

Partners and referrals
6 questionsWhat is the partner programme?
It is for anyone who works with events: wedding planners, venues, photographers, DJs and catering. You get your own link and discount code, and earn a percentage of every sale that comes from it. Signing up costs one message and there are no fees attached.
Did this answer it?
How much do I earn if I recommend you?
25% of the amount excluding VAT, and 35% from your tenth sale in a calendar year, backdated over that whole year. These are small amounts each time, so it works on numbers: a venue with dozens of parties a year keeps something noticeable, somebody who recommends us once a year will not. What each plan works out to is in the table on the partner page, with the current prices beside it.
Did this answer it?
When is my commission paid out?
The commission is in your name the moment your client pays. We only pay out once that event's photo guarantee has run out, because while it runs the sale can still be reversed. After that the money follows within seven days. So for a party that is still months away, you wait until after that party. There is no minimum amount and we draw up the invoice for you.
Did this answer it?
Can I give my client a discount instead of earning on it?
Yes. You turn your link around and then your client gets 15% off and you get nothing. Plenty of planners would rather not earn on what they recommend, and this way you can still mention it without it becoming commercial. You can switch it per event, so it is not a one-off choice for good.
Did this answer it?
My planner gave me a discount code, where do I enter it?
At checkout, under the total: there is a line there to enter your code. The amount updates straight away, so you see what you are really paying before you pay it. If the code does not work, let us know with the name of your planner or venue.

How do I become a partner?
Send us a message through the contact form below, with becoming a partner as the subject. Tell us briefly what you do and roughly how many events you have a year. You get an answer within one working day; we ask for your payout details only after that.

Some questions deserve more than a paragraph

Collecting your guests' photos at your wedding
Your photographer goes home at eleven. Your guests stay, and they make the rest of the night. This guide is about getting those photos without a group chat full of squashed thumbnails.

What if a guest uploads something that does not belong?
This is the question that holds up sign-off at companies and clubs, and hardly ever comes from a couple getting married. The answer is two settings and one honest trade-off between them.

How long do the photos from your event stay up?
This is the question that gets half answered on nearly every pricing page in this market. Here is the whole answer: how long with us, when the clock starts running, what happens after that, and how long the others give you.
